Top 5 things you MUST DO with Lash Adhesive

Top 5 things you MUST DO with Lash Adhesive

1. SHAKE THAT THING

It is crucial that you shake every time you use your adhesive. The chemical makeup of you lash extension adhesive has been created with an exact recipe for maximum use and retention of lash extensions. Your adhesion is made of complex compounds including a stabilizer, thickener, hardening accelerator, pigments, ect. and those compounds all have different densities. So naturally when the bottle is sitting for a long period of time, those compounds no longer stay mixed together - they separate into layers.

You wouldn’t think twice about shaking your liquid foundation or your nail polish bottle, well the same method applies here. Make it a habit to at the start of each lash appointment to shake your adhesive for 2 minutes to mix the chemicals and give you the perfect ratio of ingredients in each drop. During the appointment, shake your adhesive for 30 times before each new drop.

2. TEMPERATURE IS KEY

It is critical to keep the adhesive out of extreme temperatures. Your adhesive will perform best if it’s kept at room temperature (71-78 Degrees Fahrenheit). Adhesives straight out of the freezer or fridge are more solidified and resist movement. Do NOT heat the adhesive to get it to room temperature. Do NOT store adhesive in refrigerator after opening. Always tighten the adhesive lid after each use to avoid contact with moisture.

 3. HUMIDITY MATTERS

Moisture + Adhesive = Curing. Keeping extra moisture away from adhesive will make your life so much easier. Moisture assists in the curing process, this is why new drops of adhesive are needed throughout each client’s appointment.

4. KEEP OUT MOISTURE

Moisture + Adhesive = Curing. Keeping extra moisture away from adhesive will make your life so much easier. Moisture assists in the curing process, this is why new drops of adhesive are needed throughout each client’s appointment. Suggested Humidity: 45-60%

4. KEEP IT FRESH

It’s best practice to shake the adhesive right before use and to only dispense one drop of adhesive at a time. This prevents adhesive waste and keeps it fresh! We talked all about the ingredients needing to be mixed. If your adhesive looks cloudy and not black like it is supposed to - shake it up, check the date, and check your room humidity/temperature.

Please replace your adhesives every 4-6 weeks as this will help reduce risk of irritation and allergies.
